The Autism Society of Illinois 12th Annual Rally for Autism is approaching fast! Join us on August 16th at Independence Grove in Libertyville for another quality event! You can register at www.autismillinois.org. For the runner, again this year we will have event-specific medals, chip timing and tech fabric t-shirts making this a high quality running event! Family members with autism get a special 5K participation rate and there is no charge to come and check out the autism resource area. Along with food and a fun fair for the kids there is something for everyone at the Rally! We know you have a choice of many 5K races and autism events and we are thrilled that so many of you come back year after year and hope you will choose the Rally for Autism once again!

NEW CERTIFIED 5K COURSE
We have updated the start and finish locations. We have a wider start line and have eliminated the “out and back” near the finish.
Just announced! Early packet pickup will be held at the Runner’ s Edge, 524 N Milwaukee Ave. in Libertyville on Thursday 8/14 from 11-7 p.m.

Registeration and Fun starts at 7:00am!
Race starts promptly at 9:00 a.m. Walk to begin at 9:01. Fun Fair until 11:00 a.m. Raffle prizes to be drawn during award ceremony.
Goals of the event
We aim to provide runners and walkers of all abilities a high quality event! Proceeds from the Autism Society of Illinois- Eleventh Annual Rally For Autism will fund provide direct support to families affected by Autism, assist other non-profit organizations which serve the Autism community and raise awareness of Autism.

Early packet pickup TBD. We will do our best to provide each registrant with a goody bag and technical fabric t-shirt but this cannot be guaranteed.
Rally for Autism Donations
Simply select "I just want to make a donation" or after you register your team make your own TEAM PAGE AND COLLECT DONATIONS!
We will endeavor to have the awards ceremony begin by 10:25. There will be trophies for the Top Male and Female Overall and Masters winners. Medals for Top 3 finishers in each age division: 14 and under, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75 and up! Additional awards for top Individual pledge collectors.
The Autism Society of Illinois will in addition to the featured 5k Run/Walk, provide fun fair for "kids" of all ages, bounce house and slide too! Plan to stay the day and enjoy all the recreational activities of beautiful Independence Grove.
No pets allowed
No pets other than Service Animals are allowed in Independence Grove.
Everyone can be a winner at the Rally for Autism. Each registrant will be given a raffle ticket to enter for a chance to win a prize of their choice. Additional tickets can be purchased $1 each or 6 for $5. A list of available prizes will be emailed during the week preceding the event!

This race has applied for and received the Chicago Area Runners Association designation as a CARA CERTIFIED RACE. This race has agreed to adhere to and uphold CARA’s Best Practices Guidelines. Course and Starting Line
As in previous years, the course follows the scenic Overlook and Lakeside Trails, crossing three bridges and winding around a beautiful lake. The race route is entirely asphalt paved, with gentle hills and curves. For those familiar with the event look for minor revision to the final 1/4 mile. There will be multiple water stations and mile-split times. NO bicycles, skates, roller blades, are permitted in 5K Run. Wheel chairs, jogging strollers, wagons are permitted but must start at rear of pack. Course (will be) USATF certified - certification number (to be revised). Registered runners and walkers will be chip timed as provided by LakeShore Athletic Services! We ask that you place yourself at the starting line at an appropriate location for your expected pace as we have a thin starting line. NO ONE UNDER 18 ALLOWED AT FRONT OF PACK AT THE STARTING LINE. Walkers to remain at rear of pack and will start 1 minute after runners.
